Chapter 10: Lights in the Studio

"Some songs are not written to weep over the past, but to ignite hope in the present once more." The silence in the main recording studio was deep, broken only by the soft hum of the audio console. Boom kept his fingers rested on the keys, watching the monitor screen where the song track was taking on a completely unexpected form. It was not a sad ballad. Nor was it a melancholy melody. As the musical arrangement progressed, the song filled with an infectious disco-pop rhythm, vibrant synth-pop, and a luminous energy that seemed to vibrate through the walls. It was a celebration of life, an explosion of color, and a clear, optimistic message: "Forever is right now". The producer, who had been standing near the console listening to the demo, walked slowly toward the stand and looked at the handwritten lyrics noted down in Boom’s hurried handwriting. —It's an incredible track, Boom —he said softly, breaking the ice as a smile formed on his face to the rhythm of the music—. It has an incredible vibe, super bright and full of light. But you know as well as I do what will happen when people hear it. It’s going to spark questions that have been dormant for months. Boom smiled calmly, resting his arms on the keyboard. —I didn't write it to cause a stir or to offer explanations to anyone —he replied sincerely—. I wanted a song that felt free, something that conveyed joy and hope. I needed to turn all this time of silence into positive energy. The producer nodded in understanding. He knew the backstory; he had been there through their years of working together, the smiles behind the scenes, and the painful distance that followed their separation. —If you decide to officially record it, produce the music video, and release it for the upcoming event in China or include it in your new setlist, there’ll be no turning back. The fans will know who every joyful line is for. And so will the press. Are you sure you want to release it this way? Boom looked down at the pages of his notebook, filled with words of encouragement, lights, and promises to smile again. He thought of the distance separating him from Smart, not from a place of pain this time, but from a genuine desire to send him a warm, bright hug through the air. —I don't care what the press speculates —Boom said, looking up with a bright determination—. If this song plays in whatever corner of the world he’s in and manages to put a smile on his face... that's enough for me. The producer smiled with respect. —Alright then. Let's not waste any time. Let's set up the lights, the confetti, and the recording booth. Let's do this big. Over the following days, the studio turned into a whirlwind of creativity. Boom worked tirelessly on the vocals, pouring a smile into every single take, dancing between the microphones, and coordinating a dazzling visual concept filled with disco balls, sparkles, and outdoor shots that exhaled pure freedom. Every note of "Everywhere With You" was a reminder that no matter where they were or how much distance lay between them, the warmth remained untouched and the present was still worth celebrating. When the final mix finished playing through the main speakers, Boom stared at the screen with a full and peaceful heart. The song was ready to be sent out into the world. And for the first time in a long time, he knew his message wasn't traveling as a tear, but as a light impossible to extinguish. End of Chapter Ten
